Just a bit of news if you haven't heard.

The U.S. Senate secured the $1 billion dollars in poverty-fighting funds, and they went a step further, allocating an additional $450 million in the fight to save hundreds of thousands of lives.

These funds were at risk back in December, but after a letter writting campaign by the ONE organization, the funds were secured.

Its nice to see our politcal leaders step up to the plate on this issue.
